Recently, Georgia Capital acquired the 21MW Qartli wind farm in Georgia, Europe, for more than $14 million.
It is reported that Qartli is the only operating wind farm in Georgia with an average utilization rate of 47%. The project generates about 85GWh per year.
The wind farm will receive a guaranteed price of $65/MW through a 10-year power purchase agreement with the Georgian government, which is expected to add $4 million in revenue to Georgia Capital’s renewable energy business by 2020.
According to Georgia Capital, the acquisition has increased the installed capacity of its renewable energy business to 91 MW.
